Managing Items
Once you have created your post it is now vital that it is managed correctly and kept up to date. When managing your post you will become familiar with the toolbar shown below.

Open Status
Once the item being posted is ready to be displayed to the public it should be opened. The open status is represented by the eye symbol.
Closed Status
A closed status means that the item is still saved on your account but is not visible to the website users. It can be made active on the site again by reopening it. Keeping an item closed can be useful if you do not want to be contacted by any more users or if you are waiting to get images of the item. After an item has been loaded up onto the website it is active for 60 days. If the item is closed it will also remain there for 60 days. Items can be renewed by the member if desired for a further 60 days by clicking the refresh button.
Edit
Have any of your contact details changed? If so you will need to edit your post.
Refresh
Items can be renewed for an extra 60 days by clicking the refresh button.
If the item has been disposed of- either through FREE Trade or by other means the item can then be deleted. It is essential, both for you and users looking for items, that posts are deleted as soon as items have been passed on as this prevents the wasting of time and energy of future users of FREE Trade.
When adding an item it is essential that correct contact details are entered. Afterall these are the details that will enable interested viewers to contact you!
Account holders can use any contact details that they are comfortable with showing to other website users e.g. address, phone number, work number, or email. You should only fill in details here that you want other website users to see. Special Instructions can also be added as to how you want the recipient to contact you, meeting arrangements etc. For example please call after 6pm.
Make sure the image is saved on your computer or in removable storage before attempting to upload the image. In the images section of the add item page click on Browse… select the image you want to upload from your computers hard drive or removable drive. To attach another image click on attach another image and a new box and browse button will appear, do the same as before using this new box.
