Dublin City Council have revised the waste charges for household waste accepted at their Shamrock Terrace and Ringsend Recycling for 2010. Charges contribute towards the cost of recycling and recovering the wide variety of materials accepted at the facilities.


The charges in place at the Dublin City Council Recycle Centres are:

Please note that carpets, curtains etc are classified as bulky items and are subject to recycling charges.

Patrons are reminded that commercial waste will not be accepted under any circumstances at either facility. Vans which are very full of items may be turned away.

There is no tariff for vehicles carrying only the following materials :

Packaging material – paper, glass, cardboard, cans, plastic bottles, etc.

Textiles (please note that this only includes the following: clothes, shoes and runners)

Paints, aerosols, batteries, light bulbs, fluorescent tubes

Fridge/Freezer, All Electronic and Electrical equipment
